Materials and Care Instructions
Every piece of jewelry at Emma's Bridal is hand-crafted with care and attention to detail. We use only the finest materials so that you can look your best on your big day.
Swarovksi Crystals: Swarovski crystal is considered to be the finest quality lead crystal in the world. Due to it's high index of refraction and precise cut it sparkles much like a diamond. Daniel Swarovski revolutionized the crystal industry when he patented the worlds first crystal-cutting machine in 1892. He perfected a technique that made crystal optically very pure. Swarovski jewelry became especially popular in both Paris and the United States. In 1956 Swarovski discovered how to put an iridescent coating on the crystal called, "Aurora Borealis" that made the crystal reflect every color of the rainbow. Today Swarovski crystal remains unmatched in it's quality and dazzling beauty. We offer more than 40 crystal colors so that you can find exactly what you're looking for.
Swarovski Faux Pearls: Absolutely beautiful faux pearls! Swarovski pearls are superior to synthetic glass pearls in every way. Because leaded crystal makes up the core of each bead, they have more weight. They have a beautiful shine similar to the luster of natural pearls and even warm to your skin. In addition they are resistant to UV rays, scratches, washing and perspiration. Swarovski faux pearls provide the luxurious beauty of natural pearls without the higher price tag. We offer seven different colors of faux pearls.
Freshwater Pearls: Cultured pearls are from the oysters or muscles of rivers and lakes. As the pearls develop in the oysters, many layers of nacre form to give the pearls their brilliant shine. Freshwater pearls tend to be more affordable than saltwater pearls. The freshwater pearls we use in our designs are semi-round & white. Most of our jewelry can be made with freshwater pearls for an additional fee.
Mother of Pearl: The same nacre that forms around pearls lines the oyster shells hosting the pearls. This is appropriately called, "Mother-of-Pearl." In some past cultures mother of pearl was more highly valued than the pearls themselves. It is in the organic jewelry family because it forms inside a living organism.
Sterling Silver: All of our pieces are made with "925" sterling silver metal.
Wrapping: Organza drawstring bags
Jewelry Care Instructions
Wait until you've finished applying your makeup, perfume or hairspray before putting on the jewelry.
After wearing, wipe down your jewelry with a lightly damp (water only) soft cloth.
Do not submerge in water.
Store it away from your other jewelry so as not to scratch it.
To help keep the sterling silver from tarnishing, keep your jewelry in an airtight plastic bag along with the black anti-tarnish strip that was included with your order. The anti-tarnish strip should be placed in the bag with the jewelry, yet not directly touching the silver.
