Selection Guide

Having a hard time deciding? We're here to help you find just the right accessories for your gown.

Necklaces

A round necklace is especially flattering on the long and slender neck. A long lariat or y-style necklace helps the shorter neck to look longer. The neckline of your dress will ultimately be the main determination however as to which style of necklace will look best.

Strapless

With this style dress the options are endless! You can choose from a choker, lariat, round, multiple layers or y-style. To accentuate the shoulders or to just keep a simpler look, we recommend a choker or round necklace. For a bolder look, you can opt for bare shoulders and wear dramatic chandelier earrings instead.

V Neck

Our first recommendation would be a y-style necklace. This type of necklace follows the shape of the neckline nicely. If you wish to accentuate the V neckline a choker or round necklace will be perfect.

Halter Top

The best styles for this type of dress are the y-style, pendant and lariat. The y-style and pendant look beautiful with a halter top neckline. Lariats are an excellent choice as well because they add beauty to the bare back as well as a touch of elegance to the front of the neck. Another option is not to wear any necklace but yet wear large chandelier earrings. This look is very glamorous and flattering to the halter top style.

Open Back

Any dress that shows your back will be a perfect match for a lariat necklace. The lariat necklace looks like a round necklace in the front and has a long single drop down the back.

Square Top

The classic look of a square neckline is complimented by a round necklace. A necklace with one or more short drops would go well also.

Scoop Neck

We recommend a round necklace for this neckline. The scooped shape of a round necklace mirrors the scoop of the dress. The necklace could be made of one strand or many. A multiple layered illusion necklace is an excellent choice for this style gown.

Earrings

Generally simpler earrings look best with complex necklaces. If both the earrings and necklace are extravagant, it's possible to look overdone. Larger chandelier earrings can be worn alone without a necklace or possibly with a simple necklace. Here are some guidelines for choosing earrings that would look the best with your hairstyle:

Long hair worn in an updo

This is the most versatile hairstyle in that any set of earrings will look fabulous!

Long hair worn down

Long drop earrings or bold chandelier earrings go well with hair worn down.

Short hair

Those with short hair should generally choose short & dainty earrings.

Another important consideration in choosing earrings is your facial shape. Certain styles can accentuate the beauty of your face or can detract from it. Here are some tips for finding the right earrings for your face shape:

Oval face

If your face is this shape, count your blessings! With an oval shape you can choose virtually any style earrings.

Long/Rectangle face

Short earrings are the most flattering for this facial type. Long dangling earrings tend to make the face look even longer.

Round face

Long, slender earrings are a great choice for the round face as they help to elongate the look of the face.

Heart face

For the heart face we recommend triangular chandelier earrings. The wide base of the triangle earring provides an excellent contrast to the narrower chin

Square face

Round earrings or hoop earrings look fabulous on those with a square face.

Tiaras

If you have an oval face, we recommend a simple headpiece without a peak in order to keep your face from looking longer. If you have a round face, a headpiece with height or a peak will help to elongate the look of your face.

How to wear your tiara

Each convertible tiara has loops on the end where the tiara can secured to your hair with bobby pins. The tiara can be worn alone or with a veil. A veil with a comb will keep the veil in place. If you're wearing your hair up the tiara should be placed right in front of your hairstyle with the veil placed at the base of your hairstyle. If you're wearing your hair down place the tiara on the top front part of your head and attach the veil just behind the tiara.

Hairpins

If the idea of wearing tiara doesn't feel like your style, hairpins are another great option. They provide a touch of elegance without going overboard. There are several ways they can be worn:

Hairpins are also one of the most popular choices for bridesmaids hair accessories.

Flower Girl Jewelry Sizing Guide

If possible try to get a measurement from the mother. Take the size of their wrist and add 1/2 an inch for the bracelet size. Here are some general guidelines for flower girl jewelry sizes.
